view contacts as business cards

~enhancement ~"GUI upgrade" [MODERNISATION FEATURE]

feature suggestion

💡 add business card view

references

This feature was requested

  • in 2015 by @ovari1 in Bug 1226155: Thunderbird Address Book. Display view format like Business Card
  • in 2017 by davidb on the forum: https://cardbook.6660.eu/forums/topic/alternate-to-the-list-view
  • and is available in Outlook since 2003

rationale

After all, what would be a CardBook without a card view? It's already in the name. 😉
This feature is part of the "roadmap to a modern address book".

It could look similar to Outlook (which has this feature for more than a decade): Outlook screenshot
