debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2

Hi,

I am getting an error:

make[2]: *** [debian/rules:7: build-arch] Error 2

dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2

make[1]: *** [scripts/Makefile.package:77: deb-pkg] Error 2

make: *** [Makefile:1533: deb-pkg] Error 2

This is at the stage when I run make deb-pkg -j12 I am very new to this and wasn't able to find a solution myself. Would anyone be able to help me? I'm running Debian 10 and the CPU is Intel Core i7-8700K 3.70 GHz. Please let me know if you need any more information.
