Crucial Ballistix RGB - Color mismatch between Direct mode and Static mode

Both are set to RGB 0 255 255, while the left one is using the Static mode and the right one is using the Direct mode.

If I set the Direct mode one to RGB 0 128 255, it seems to match, so I guess it alters the colors internally to make things more aesthetically pleasing. Could this be compensated for somehow?
