Gigabyte X570 UD - not Aorus - likely OK to edit OpenRGB.cpp?

Hello, I'm not what you'd call an experienced hardware hacker, but my impression is that the "Aorus" line doesn't so much have different hardware than "UD" as it just has more features, so as far as the SMBus they're probably about the same and it's likely OK to do anything with the SMBus on a 570 UD that works on the Aorus boards. But due to the strong warning on the wiki under the supported motherboard systems and the known issue with Z390's being bricked, I'm wondering if anybody else has tried this already on an X570 UD, and how did it go?

"Gigabyte Aorus RGB Fusion 2.0 (SMBus) (EXPERIMENTAL)

  • Disabled by default because we don't have appropriate detection code yet, and it has an address conflict that could brick Z390 Aorus boards.
  • Uncomment DetectRGBFusion2SMBusControllers call in OpenRGB.cpp if you wish to use.
  • ONLY run this on supported motherboards!!!!!"
