G.Skill Ram not detected
Description of Bug
Hey everyone :-)
I have been unable to get my RAM detected and working correctly. I could actually see both my ram sticks initially, but they did not work correctly, if I applied an effect for example, the speed would be really slow and janky, unlike the rest of my devices. I have done the following, as suggested in the readme:
- Install
i2c-tools
(already installed). sudo modprobe i2c-dev
sudo groupadd --system i2c
sudo usermod $USER -aG i2c
sudo touch /etc/modules-load.d/i2c.conf && sudo sh -c 'echo "i2c-dev" >> /etc/modules-load.d/i2c.conf'
- Also added
i2c-piix4
toi2c.conf
after runningsudo i2cdetect -l
. sudo modprobe i2c-piix4
I'm not sure how to do give user access to those controllers
, as mentioned in the readme. These steps actually seem to have made things worse. Now I can only see one stick in OpenRGB, and that one stick does not respond to colour changes, or effects, and is now stuck on the same colours that they were before the changes were made, and the second stick is just dark.
