[Bug Report] High CPU usage on Windows using Crucial DRAM and Effects plugin
Description of Bug
CPU usage on Windows goes up pretty high with high framerates on Crucial DRAM using the effects plugin. This does not seem to be an issue on Linux and is only present on Crucial DRAM devices. Related issue on OpenRGBEffectsPlugin
Observed CPU usage is as follows:
- 60FPS ~ 8% usage
- 50FPS ~ 12% usage
- 40FPS ~ 9% usage
- 30FPS ~ 7% usage
- 20FPS ~ 5% usage
- 10FPS ~ 3% usage
- 1FPS ~ 0.5% usage
Windows is reporting Very High power usage of OpenRGB when running at 30FPS or more.
I am using the latest build of both OpenRGB and the plugin from master.
Hardware Configuration
- Ryzen 5 5600X
- MSI B550 Gaming Plus
- Gainward RTX 3070 Phoenix GS
- Crucial Ballistix RGB 2x16GB
- HyperX Alloy Elite 2
