G.Skill Trident Z Neo not recognized

My two G.Skill Trident Z Neo DIMMs are not recognized, the Devices section of the application window remains empty. I've patched the i2c-piix4 module to include the second bus.

I'm a bit confused: do these have their own endpoints on I2C or are they controlled by the motherboard?

My board is a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme (RGB Fusion 2.0) so there's no AURA afaik.
