Adding SSP1-2.6 and its extension up to 2300 to the reference simulations
Hydrological impacts of reforestation
For my project's projection simulations, I plan to use the SSP1-2.6 scenario. I would appreciate your assistance with the following aspects:
- Adding SSP1-2.6 scenario to the reference simulations on Niagara.
- Adding the extension of SSP1-2.6 up to 2300 to the reference simulations on Niagara.
Required steps (ECCC)

port NEMO-AGCM-ssp126
andNEMO-AGCM-ssp126-ext
into the imsi configuration system on internal machines under the experiment namescmip6-ssp126
andcmip6-ssp126-ext
respectively. -
confirm that the port on internal machines is bit identical to internal reference sims (for ssp126 only*) -
run a new ssp126-ext in ECCC under imsi, and confirm the climate is the same as CMIP6 runs (required compling ssp126 for rs) -
Copy and save new required forcing files on Niagara -
run new imsi configurations on Niagara -
confirm the climate of ssp126* runs on Niagara runs is equivalent to ECCC reference runs -
officially mint official updates to cp4c supporting branch and document reference simulation
*NB: Since ssp126-ext has not been run internally in ECCC since CMIP6 (a few machines ago), there are no current bitwise references. Further, the ssp126-ext "runmode" is not validated. So for ssp126-ext, verification will be by comparing the imsi runs climate to previous (CMIP6) ssp126-ext runs only (i.e. step 3 and 6).
