git checkout not rendering

In the install from source section

The command to checkout a version that can be install by the instructions is rendered as git checkout <desired release tag>

This seems to be rendered incorrect (i think it should also spesify a example that works, (if not be the latest one.))

This seems to be rendered like this on my Fedore laptop via firefox, others have also reported this issue on IRC
