Rationale

The roadmap page provide answers for those users interested in knowing when is the next update of major version coming. It will also provide answers to those contributing to BuildStream that needs to understand the development timeline to adjust to it.

Content structure and description

The roadmap has two main sections. One showing timeline and a second one explaining the timeline and implications.

  • Intro text: one or two sentences to provide context.
  • BuildStream release timeline
    • Cycles and dates
    • Show also Betas, RC and other interesting events.
    • What happens on each date: description in a few words.
    • Make reference to SemVer nomenclature.

The usage of an image to publish the timeline and a table to explain it is recommended.

Other actions related with this page:
