Make a proposal about structuring and visualising tasks

Background

The current structure of tasks within bst can be improve. The usage of milestones, labels and boards combined can provide a significant clarification of the work planned vs work in progress vs tasks closed for whatever reason.

Task description

The idea is to use nosoftware as showcase to developers of the capabilities of the tool. But before there is a need to define the policies to implement.

• Create a general policy for nosoftware
• Implement the policy in nosoftware
• Describe the nosoftware example in the bst mailing list.
• Make a proposal to developers for the technical tasks including:
  • Policy created
  • Policy .approved.

Acceptance criteria

• Link to the proposed policy: BuildStream Gitlab policy
• Link to the proposal for development work sent to the bst mailing list.
