Avoid compose element dropping files that are staged inside directory symlinks

This fixes #270 (closed) for me.

I don't see any integration tests that deal with integration-commands, I would like to add another test to check that this patch doesn't break anything in how integration-commands interact with the 'compose' element. I am hopeful that this patch is correct though, certainly it fixes the issue I was seeing and doesn't break the testsuite.
