plugin.py: Add log() method
This is a helper to log messages into the plugin's log file.
Taken from !140 (closed); I need this for a plugin I'm writing.
The 17.0 major release is coming on May 16, 2024! This version brings many exciting improvements to GitLab, but also removes some deprecated features.
