Save only the most recent build cache for each element

I have six different build directories for WebKitGTK+ under ~/.cache/buildstream/build. That doesn't make sense: why does BuildStream need more than one?

The total size is absurd, I gave up on nautilus's counting when it surpassed 25 GB. It would be desirable to limit the size of the entire ~/.cache/buildstream to way less than that.
