If no project name found (eg because no project.conf) set it to a default, with a warning

As discussed on IRC, this way new user doesn't have to create a project.conf file.

I suggest the warning should be something like:

WARNING: Missing project name - please add a name in project.conf

And I suggest the name should be "new-project" or similar
