Cannot log in with my google account (v3.1.2 on Lineage 16.0 microG)

Freshly formatted my phone and installed latest LineageOS 16.0 with microG.

Downloaded and installed AuroraStore_3.1.2.apk. Haven't installed any other Aurora related APKs.

I am trying to log in with my Google account but it always comes back with "Check your password".

I have two-factor enabled and am using an app password.

As a test, I've tried the same credentials with the dumb (no oAuth) email client on the phone and it works fine there.

Tested anonymous account login and that works too.
