Update Notifications never shown

I never see notifications informing me of available app updates. I have enabled notifications in the appropriate section in the aurora settings page, and Update Interval is set to 'Daily.'

In the android settings, I have made no changes to the aurora store's notification permissions. Notifications are displayed normally when an app is being downloaded/installed etc.

I am using a nokia 6.1, the model number is TA-1050. I am using the device's stock android 9 build, numbered 00WW_3_54E, security patch level: 1st of June 2019
