Failed to generate Session

Description

  1. When logging in with Google account Aurora Store loads, and shows "Verifying session" --> "Requesting new session" --> "Failed to generate Session".
  2. When logging in using "Anonymous", Aurora Store shows "Requesting new session", then goes to the "Apps" section, but nothing loads no matter how long I wait :-(

Expected Behaviour

Able to log into the Aurora Store app, either with Google account or anonymously, in order to download and install Google Play store apps.

Actual Behaviour

  1. Getting error "Failed to generate Session" when using Google account to log in
  2. Aurora Store does not load at all when using Anonymous login

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Aurora Store app
  2. Set up Google account
  3. Close App
  4. Open App again --> "Failed to generate Session"

or

  1. Open Aurora Store app
  2. Select Anonymous login
  3. "App" tab shows, but no apps will be displayed on the screen, and cannot install any apps

Environment

  • Device model & codename: OnePlus 8 - instantnoodle
  • Android version: Android 10 & Android 11
  • Aurora Store version: 4.1.1
  • Installation method: FDroid & APK
  • OS: LineageOS 18.1 & 17.1

Additional context

  • Installed Aurora Store 4.1.1 from FDroid.
  • Also tried uninstalling and using the APK of version 4.1.1 from this url (https://auroraoss.com/) - same results an above
  • Also tried nightly build from https://auroraoss.com/ - same results as above
