not loading updates and not showing all apps

Lately I can't get the app to download any updates. Plus clicking the "update all" button doesn't work. Or at least doesn't seem to. On top of that, I've noticed that when searching a keyword it only shows roughly 20 or so apps and thats it. Even when I know I'm widening the search to look for all apps. I really don't want to go back to the play store. It sucks! Please help!
