Unable to update Google Play Services anymore via Aurora Store

Google Play Services won't update anymore on one of my devices via Aurora Store. The updates are displayed (currently: v24.45.33) but the installation failed with "INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMAPTIBLE: Existing package com.google.android.gms signatures do not match newer version; ignoring!" It has been working on this devices until summer, when it suddenly stopped.

Expected Behaviour

Google Play services get updated without an error.

Actual Behaviour

See above. I don't know the former version anymore because I uninstalled its updates (see below), but it was something around 24.25.xx.

As uninstalling is not possible with this app, I uninstalled the updates some days ago, hoping that would fix it. But it didn't, the version is now 23.42.12 (probably the one preinstalled with HyperOS), the problem remains the same. Now I'm stuck to an even older version.

Steps to Reproduce

Just let Aurora Store search for updates and click on "Google Play Services". The package gets downloaded but doesn't install.
