Export to NSI don't write json file for Cryptomatte (Version 2.9.182) Maya2026
I've already reported this bug to 3Delight discord, at that time I was using compiled 3DFM for Maya2026 now I'm using official 3DFM build for Maya 2026, Version 2.9.182 Released 07-Oct-2025 I get the same issue when renderdl NSI file! no json files for cryptomatte.
To reproduce the issue:
Start Maya 2026
Create a plane with two spheres, material, and one areaLight.
add these Auxiliary Variables in Display Render settings:
Geometry Cryptomatte.
Scene Path Cryptomatte.
Surface Shader Cryptomatte.
Asset Cryptomatte.
In Output choose NSI File.
Hit Export button.
Searches for the folder where the NSI file was saved.
renderdl the nsi.file.
console output errorbut the cryptomattes did render witouth json.
what I did to fix this issue is by outputing to image file first, then deleting the rendered exr file and leave only the json files then I can use renderdl without problem.
