What has been done in this MR?

  • Add an extra option to the deep wilderness gate warning: "I wish to proceed, and don't ask me again". This makes the gate easier to cross particularly at Ice Plateau, where you may be being attacked by ice giants.
  • Reuse the same warning, with appropriate changes, for the edge/ardy levers. This way, new players will not be caught by surprise by our inauthentic mechanics.
  • Include an explanation of the red skull mechanic with the warning.
  • Remove the annoying interface warning when crossing the ditch. The code is still there, just commented out - it should be reenabled when the Doomsayer has been implemented properly.
  • Remove the inauthentic threat revenant and restrict brawler/pvp drops to revs and cele only.
  • Require 100k risk to obtain the boosted deep-wildy drop rates.
  • Hide our inauthentic mechanics behind a new server config option, default true.

What should testers check?

  • Confirm that the edge/ardy levers as well as the members gates show the new warning
  • Confirm that the warning is hidden forever if and only if you use the "don't ask again" option
  • Any comments on the warning's text, let me know
  • Confirm that you now cross the ditch without getting any warning screen
  • Confirm that only revs and cele drop brawlers/pvp gear (you can spawn up to 900 at once using ::npc and then use the rotten potato to kill them all at once. For cele, use an alt to watch for the messages - you'll see why.)
  • Confirm that rev brawler/pvp drop rates are higher in the pvp area than in the rest of the wildy, if and only if you are carrying >= 100k high-alch risk
  • I have tested these changes thoroughly.

  • I used the relevant Zaros tool for any JSON edits where possible, and have attached screenshots of any changes.
