Soft Lock Death Plateau

What I did:

• Set Death Plateau 44 to 24
• Have climbing boots (3105)
• Have an Iron bar (2351)
• Talk to Dunstan (1082 @ 2919,3574,0)
• Walk away right after you give him the gear but before he gives you the gear.

What I expected to happen:

• The quest not to soft lock

What actually happened:

• Dunstan takes the gear and forgets he took it.

It probably makes sense to only take the gear during the same dialogue step as the replacement is given.

There is still the issue of 'what if you die with them'.
