Unable to Pickpocket Man

What I did: Right click, Pickpocket action on Man NPC (North-west of Rimmington Mine, East of the Cabbage & Onion field)

What I expected to happen: Pickpocket the Man using Thieving skill

What actually happened: Nothing...
